Jameson Williams, wide receiver for the Detroit Lions, is known for his dynamic performance on the field and his commitment to making a positive impact off of it. This year, during Week 14, Williams is participating in the My Cause My Cleats campaign to raise awareness for The Jameson Williams Foundation, an organization he created with his family to support underprivileged communities, youth sports, and education.
The Jameson Williams Foundation is dedicated to “giving back to youth sports, underprivileged families, and those in need” while providing “educational and recreational opportunities to youth.” Through the foundation, Williams helps provide resources like sports equipment, scholarships, and mentorship to empower young people to reach their full potential.
Williams’s commitment to giving back extends beyond his foundation. Recently, he teamed up with Detroit Lions teammate Kerby Joseph to celebrate their team’s historic blowout victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars by giving back to the community.

The pair passed out 100 turkeys to families in need in Detroit, ensuring that local families had a special meal for the holidays. Williams has given back to the Detroit community since he landed there in 2022. He’s been seen buying water bottles from Detroit kids selling on street corners, paying $100 for a bottle.

His support for youth athletes is clear, as he recently attended the MHSAA Football State Championships, where he took photos with players from Michigan’s top high school teams and their fans.
