Moseley’s official injury designation was questionable on Friday, but it will be a significant boost for the Detroit Lions if the former San Francisco 49er can get on the field.

    What They’ve Said

Detroit Lions Defensive Coordinator Aaron Glenn shared his excitement about getting more out of Z’Darius Smith:

“We’re excited to get his count up and see what he’s actually going to do as far as a true edge defender for us this week. Personality out of this world, energy out of this world, he really fits who we are when it just comes to us as a team and really us as a defense. He does have violence to him; he does have a physical nature to him. Well, that’s the one thing that he did a really good job of in Cleveland, is his ability to rush from the inside.”

Colts running back Jonathan Taylor spoke this week about his eagerness to get going in the run game:

“(In your) younger years, especially college, and then just first coming in the league, you want to just be the guy to make a play, make a spark. And yes, you want to do that, but you’ve got to understand you kind of have parameters, guidelines like, ‘Hey, don’t just go AWOL (or) go rogue on a play,’ because if you do, you better be right. But other than that, it’s just understanding the scheme, understanding the task at hand, and just understanding that it’s a four-quarter game.”
