    Jared Goff Emotionally Reacts to Detroit Lions NFC North Win

    The Detroit Lions are NFC North champions! The 30-year wait is over, and Ford Field will host a playoff game. In a breathless game, the Lions won 30-24 over the Minnesota Vikings. That was enough to hand Dan Campbell’s team the division title.

    Quarterback Jared Goff played a pivotal role in today’s win. The veteran signal caller was efficient and effective. He did not make mistakes, completed key throws when necessary, and made the right decisions at the line of scrimmage.

    Goff finished 30/40 for 257 yards and one touchdown. The former LA Ram led the Lions brilliantly. After the game, an emotional Goff spoke to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

    “It’s pretty exciting—a lot of hard work. It is a long time coming. We got a special group; it wasn’t pretty, but we got it done.”

    A visibly emotional Goff continued, discussing everything that led to this moment. Goff said;

    “It’s a lot of hard work. It’s emotional, it’s just the beginning. I get emotional thinking about the guys that went through 3-13-1 and 1-6 last year.”

    The win was a seismic moment for Goff and the Lions. The Rams dumped Goff two years ago for Matthew Stafford. Goff could have quickly declared Detroit as a stop-gap for his career. However, he has helped turn the Lions into a winning team. His toughness and resilience have played a considerable role.
