    Injury Report

The Lions’ defensive end position took another blow this week as they have ruled out Josh Paschal. Paschal is out with illness but should return for the Lions’ trip to Green Bay.

In Paschal’s absence, the Lions have elevated Al-Quadin Muhammad to the Active/Inactive list. Tight end Shane Zylstra has also been elevated. Rookie lineman Christian Mahogany is out, too.

    • DE Josh Paschal – Out (Illness)
    • OL Christian Mahogany – Out (Illness)

The Titans are managing several injuries to their roster. The big headline is rookie defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat’s availability. Sweat’s designation is officially questionable, and he missed Friday’s practice. Star free-agent signing L’Jarius Sneed will miss this game thanks to a quad injury. Tennessee has also ruled out running back Tyjae Spears due to a hamstring injury. Veteran Mason Rudolph will take the start in place of Will Levis. In light of Levis’ injury, the Titans have elevated Trevor Siemian from the practice squad.

    • LB Jerome Baker – Out

    What They’ve Said

Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson is acutely aware of the challenges the Titans’ defense will present:

Tennessee might be the best we’ve seen all year. Maybe not as challenging from a schematics standpoint, but personnel-wise, these guys are, across the board at each level, sound, they are violent, they’re physical, they finish. When you see a team that plays as much two-high as they do and yet can still shut down every run game they face, we already know that we have our work cut out for us.”

Kenneth Murray Jr commented on the difficulty of facing the Lions’ offense:

“Yeah, I mean, it’s a tremendous challenge. They’ve played some really good football this season. So, it will be critical for us to hone in on our game plan, lock in on what we see on tape, and go out there and play a detailed, complete football game.”
