Since Detroit Lions EDGE and the NFL’s sack leader Aidan Hutchinson went down with a broken tibia and fibula against the Dallas Cowboys, Lions fans have been clamoring for GM Brad Holmes to make a trade for the Las Vegas Raiders to get Plymouth, Michigan-native -and superstar EDGE rusher- Maxx Crosby.
In today’s episode of “The Rush with Maxx,” Crosby directly addresses trade rumors to end them. “I’m not trying to leave. I want to be here. I want to be silver and black. I’ll say it loud and (expletive) clear: I want to be a Raider,” Crosby said.
Now, there is a chance this could be smoke and mirrors. If Crosby does get traded (whether to the Lions or another team) by saying that he wants to remain on the Raiders, he keeps his hands clean and does not appear to have forced his way out of the Raiders organization that seems to be on the verge of a rebuild. He did say, “There’s a business part to it too, and I don’t have 100% control over that,” which doesn’t fully close the door for those Lions fans who want to remain optimistic about the possibility of acquiring Crosby.
However, the outlook on seeing Crosby in a Lions uniform dims faster by the day.
